Job description

KMG Prestige is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team in Hammond, IN at Renaissance Towers Apartments (450-Unit Community) who enjoys new challenges, takes pride in their work, and is detail oriented. The ideal candidate will strive to create happy residents through providing superior customer service and timely service requests. Maintenance Technicians are responsible for the overall maintenance of the property, service requests, apartment turns, and emergency on-call.

What we are looking for:

  • Basic HVAC knowledge
  • Perform light electrical repairs including 120/240 troubleshooting, breakers, outlets, switches, lighting systems, and panel safety
  • Perform light plumbing repairs including domestic water systems, drain and sewer troubleshooting, fixture replacement, water heaters, circulation pumps, and pipe repair (PVC, copper, PEX)
  • HVAC maintenance and repair including troubleshooting split systems, PTAC units, boilers, and chillers Refrigerant charging and leak detection (EPA Universal Certification required)
  • Boiler system operation and inspections
  • Preventive maintenance scheduling and execution
  • Appliance repair including refrigerators, stoves, and washer/dryer systems
  • Carpentry and general building repairs
  • Painting and drywall repair
  • Carpet, tile, flooring, and masonry repair
  • Window and screen repair Door hardware and lock repair/replacement
  • Irrigation system maintenance
  • Roof inspection support and minor repairs
  • Drain jetting and sewer maintenance
  • Fire safety equipment inspection and support
  • Elevator inspection coordination and response procedures
  • Maintenance equipment operation and upkeep
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, mechanical equipment, and more
