Job description

Calling all plant nerds and creative, outdoorsy people!

Small landscape architecture and fine gardening company seeks full-time seasonal fine gardener for 32-40 hours per week, from early March to mid-December, to work alongside current team members. Schedule can be flexible based on applicant’s availability. Assistant will help with planting, deadheading, weeding, watering, mulching, raking, and similar basic garden tasks in gardens in and around Newport. Some experience preferred but will train the right person.

All applicants must:

· have own transportation and clean driving record

· have a strong work ethic

· have attention to detail

· be a team player and be willing to collaborate

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Assist in fine gardening maintenance and planting projects

· Plant, deadhead, weed, water, mulch, rake as needed

· Use some power tools (leaf blower, leaf vacuum) as needed

· Use and maintain hand tools provided

· Be able to lift 50 lbs

· Be able to work physically all day, standing, squatting, kneeling, digging, etc.

· Be able to work outside in all types of weather (rain, heat, humidity, cold)
