Lead Rad Tech - Diagnostic Imaging
Full-Time (40 hours weekly)
We seek a highly skilled and experienced Lead X-ray Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in X-ray technology and a proven track record of leadership in a medical imaging setting. This individual will oversee the day-today operations of the X-ray department, ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining quality standards, and providing exceptional patient care.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology
- ARRT certification in Radiography and a second modality certification is required
- Minimum of five years of experience as an X-ray technologist, with progressive leadership responsibilities. - Strong knowledge of X-ray imaging techniques, equipment operation, and quality assurance principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Functions of the Position (not an exhaustive list):
- Perform all forms of X-ray procedures according to physician orders and department protocols.
-Supervise and coordinate the activities of X-ray technologists, including scheduling, training and performance management
-Ensure compliance with safety regulations and radiation protection protocols
-Maintain equipment and troubleshoot technical issues, coordinating with the appropriate resources for repairs and maintenance.
-Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate image interpretation and patient care.
-Provide mentorship and support to staff members, fostering a positive work environment and professional growth
-Stay current on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in X-ray imaging
