Job Description

Ampersand Solutions Group (AMPERSAND) is seeking an Lead Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) Engineer/Analyst.

The selected Candidate:

Will lead a team that develops and manages the systems engineering process of verifying system and software products operate and comply with requirements and/or design. Coordinates the test process including test requirements, planning, execution, and reporting. Provides technical expertise in testing and product knowledge, writes test procedures and develops test plans. Configures necessary hardware and operating environments as needed to complete assigned testing, and provides technical know-how on particular products, operating systems and specialized environments.

Performs evaluations of various software related products and covers assessments of software products through all phases of the development life cycle, including software specifications, design verification, coding, testing and results data validation. Utilizes organizational skills and possesses the ability to work well with people. Exercises strong written and oral communication skills, and multi-tasks with strong attention to detail and excellent follow-through skills.

Qualifications

Required

  • BS in related field; or ABET accredited BS in an Engineering discipline
  • Minimum 6 years related experience including experience with software/system testing activities
  • Experience with C/C++
  • Strong communications skills and customer management savvy
  • Experience with systems and interoperability-level testing of various systems
  • Some travel
  • Active DoD Security Clearance
  • Ability to comply with all Government-mandated COVID-19 policies

Desired

  • MS in related field
  • Missile Defense Agency systems experience HIGHLY DESIRED - especially Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Exo-atmosphere Kill Vehicle (EKV)
  • Experience with Python, Java, Ada, and other programming language
  • Experience generating test report documentation
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Static Code Analyzers (e.g: HelixQAC, Code DX, CppCheck, Clang-TIdy, Fortify, Coverity, etc.).
  • Linux OS experience
  • Experience with embedded system development, test, and IV&V
  • Regression testing experience
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with IEEE 1012-1998
