Job Duties

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help build and evolve our seismic processing platform. This role is primarily focused on backend engineering, distributed compute systems, cloud-native services, and scalable microservice architectures. The successful candidate will contribute to high-performance processing workflows, platform scalability, and modern engineering practices while also supporting web-based application development when needed.

The ideal candidate has strong Java experience, is comfortable working with distributed processing and cloud-native services and actively leverages AI-powered development tools to improve engineering efficiency and software quality. Experience developing modern web applications and collaborating across cross-functional engineering teams is highly desirable

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • Strong Java and Cloud services experience.
  • Experience utilizing AI-assisted engineering tools in day-to-day software development.
  • Experience designing and supporting microservice-based systems.
  • Experience with distributed compute platforms or large-scale processing systems.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, containers, and cloud-native deployments.
  • Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
  • Experience contributing to modern web applications using JavaScript/TypeScript-based frameworks.
  • Experience working within Agile development teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Oil & Gas industry experience
  • Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, Kinesis, Event Hubs, etc.).

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
