Job Summary and Qualifications

 Strategic Service Lines utilize comprehensive strategic, analytic, collaborative and leadership skills, coupled with deep subject matter expertise, to facilitate business, operational and clinical organizational goals. 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Lead service line programmatic growth and optimization by developing new and existing growth strategies/tactics for the Enterprise, Divisions and Hospitals.
  • Serve as the service line subject matter expert.
  • Develop and enhance toolkits to support education and socialization of high priority growth areas.
  • Develop and enhance analytical tools/reporting.
  • Advise on Division service line structure (i.e., Governance) including recruitment/ development of Division service line leadership.
  • Support Divisions with C&V leadership vacancies.
  • Lead Stakeholder Council and other related service line Corporate, Division and Facility communication forums.
  • Manage and enhance existing stakeholder partnerships including but not limited to Division leadership, Clinical Services Group, Physician Services, HealthTrust, Research Institute and Graduate Medical Education.
  • Identify and partner with National Physician Directors on key activities to drive program development/growth.
  • Engage service line physician leaders through operations councils and working groups.
  • Identify and partner with academic and scientific societies to advance HCA service line objectives.
  • Identify and execute clinical resiliency strategic opportunities including supply chain, LOS and documentation integrity.
  • Manage relevant industry partner relationships.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Practices and adheres to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement.”

Education & Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’ Degree is required, MBA/MHA or other advanced degree strongly recommended.
  • 3-5 years of experience in hospital and/or multi-hospital system service line planning experience. Cardiac & Neuro Service Line-specific experience preferred.

  • 1+ Years of experience in a leadership role 

  • HCA experience preferred or similar-level experience outside of HCA
  • Ability to travel (anticipate up to 25% travel)
