Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Apps Exadata DBA to lead Oracle database administration and Exadata operations in a mission-critical enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Oracle Exadata, Oracle RAC, Oracle EBS R12.2, Data Guard, and RMAN, along with strong leadership, client-facing, and incident management skills. This role is responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, security, and reliability of Oracle database platforms.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead Oracle Apps DBA and Oracle Exadata administration activities.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to DBA team members.
• Own and manage Sev1/P1 incident bridges through successful resolution.
• Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA), CAB activities, audits, and governance reviews.
• Perform Oracle Exadata architecture reviews, health checks, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
• Administer Oracle RAC environments and ensure high availability.
• Manage Oracle RMAN backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Configure, administer, and support Oracle Data Guard environments.
• Perform database patching, upgrades, cloning, and refresh activities.
• Administer Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) R12.2 environments.
• Execute Oracle EBS patching, environment refreshes, and disaster recovery drills.
• Plan and execute database switchover and failover activities.
• Perform database security hardening, vulnerability remediation, and access reviews.
• Ensure compliance with audit, governance, and security standards.
• Manage Oracle Service Requests (SRs) and coordinate with Oracle Support and third-party vendors.
• Provide after-hours and on-call production support as required.
• Troubleshoot complex database, Exadata, and Oracle EBS issues.
• Develop and maintain operational documentation and best practices.
Required Qualifications
• 12+ years of Oracle DBA and Oracle Apps DBA experience.
• Strong hands-on experience administering Oracle Exadata and Oracle RAC environments.
• Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) R12.2 administration.
• Strong expertise in Oracle Database 19c.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Data Guard and RMAN backup and recovery.
• Experience with database patching, cloning, upgrades, and refresh activities.
• Strong performance tuning and database optimization skills.
• Experience supporting high-availability and disaster recovery environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and production support experience.
• Excellent client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to participate in Sev1/P1 on-call and after-hours support.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Oracle Exadata architecture planning and capacity management.
