Job description

Job Title: Linux Kernel Engineer
Location: Spring, TX- Hybrid
Salary: $85k-$90k/year
Detailed Job description:

  • Linux debug - Ability to analyze Linux kernel code and HPE software to root cause issue
  • HPE server hardware configuration and management - primarily for issue repro and debug
  • Work directly with Linux partners (Red Hat, SUSE, Canonical) to discuss features/plans as well as to debug and resolve issues
  • US-based (Houston) - will be only US-based engineer on the team, and as such, primary contact for working Linux issues during US work hours, as well as primary contact for working with Linux partners
  • Linux system administration (RHEL, SLES, Ubuntu are priorities) - we have some Linux file servers that we're managing on behalf of all HPE, as well as other account/management tasks on behalf of HPE
