Job description

New Tech Global is currently seeking a Foundry Lead Worker in Tulsa, OK.OverviewThe Lead Foundry Worker is responsible for all Foundry Worker duties while assisting the Foundry Supervisor on a daily basis and providing department leadership in their absence.Responsibilities
  • Perform foundry operations including core making, mold making, mold closing, sand testing, melting, pouring, shakeout, and casting cleaning.
  • Provide direct support and assistance to the Foundry Supervisor.
  • Coordinate daily workflow and supervise the department in the absence of the Foundry Supervisor.
  • Assist with production planning.
  • Provide schedules and updates to the planning department.
  • Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
  • Comply with all company and HSE policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience with mold making.
  • Experience with melting and pouring materials.
  • Knowledge of finish room functions.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work with minimal training.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in two or more of the following: pattern shop/storage, core making, mold making, mold closing, induction melting, pouring, shakeout, abrasive blasting, gating and riser removal, grinding, casting inspection, and touch-up.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience operating forklifts, overhead cranes, and front-end loaders.
  • General knowledge of industrial applications in a manufacturing environment.
  • General knowledge of safety rules and regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach as required.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Corrected vision to 20/20.
  • Ability to work around moving equipment, overhead cranes, extreme temperatures, fumes, chemicals, and airborne particulates.
  • Must wear required PPE, including hard hat, face mask, gloves, and steel-toed boots.
