Job Description:


  • Responsible for set-up and operation of laser cutting machines to produce products meeting customer quality requirements. Must also operate and process parts according to print and traveler requirements and monitor machine cutting performance and utilization.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Understand machine setup including program retrieval, proper gases, proper nozzles, and materials.
  • Operate machine to produce parts per specification.
  • Understands startup and proper shutdown of machine.
  • Diagnose machine problems while performing jobs and make corrections as needed.
  • Operate Lift trucks to load and unload materials.
  • Ability to read calipers and hand tools.
  • Monitor quality of cutting condition and adjust as needed.
  • Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures.
  • Perform Operator maintenance per established schedules.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Keep machine clean and empty debris.
  • Change out scrap bin when full.


Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Good computer skills
  • Ability to read and follow instructions
  • 3 to 5 years experience with Laser machines
  • 3 to 5 years in a Manufacturing environment
  • Experience operating lift trucks
  • Bystronics experience preferred
