Job Title: Extrusion Machine Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Extrusion Machine Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for changing extrusion tooling such as tips, dies, heater bands, and screws, while ensuring that all products meet specified tolerances. This role involves reading and interpreting blueprints, using measurement tools, and operating a forklift.

Responsibilities

  • Change extrusion tooling such as tips, dies, heater bands, and screws.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and drawings accurately.
  • Utilize calipers, micrometers, tapes, and microscopes to measure products efficiently.
  • Adjust extruder parameters to ensure products remain within specified tolerances.
  • Operate a forklift to load and unload products and materials.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in operating extrusion and plastic extrusion equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Experience using calipers and micrometers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel applications.
  • Ability to multitask and troubleshoot in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED, or 4 years of solid manufacturing/production experience.
