Job description

POSITION SUMMARY: Theย Lead Endoscopy Technician serves as a clinical and operational resource responsible for coordinating the daily workflow and activities of Endoscopy Technicians to support safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. This role collaborates closely with the Endoscopy Charge Nurse and Endoscopy Supervisor to ensure appropriate staffing, workflow management, staff development, equipment readiness, and adherence to departmental and organizational standards.ย 

Lead Endoscopy Technician is responsible for coordinating assignments, monitoring workflow efficiency, and ensuring responsibilities are completed accurately and in a timely manner. The Lead Technician assists with onboarding and training of new staff members, reinforces department policies and procedures, and serves as a resource for operational questions and routine problem resolution. The position partners with department leadership to support orientation, annual competency validation, ongoing education, and training related to new technology and equipment.

REQUIREMENTS:ย ย 

  • High School Diploma/General Education Degree(GED)
  • One (1) year of experience in a healthcare setting
  • One (1) year of experience as an Endoscopy Technician
  • Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) fromย IAHCSMM
  • Certified Endoscopic Technician through ASGE within one (1) year of employment
  • BLSP (CPR) through the American Heart Association required within 30 days of employment
