Job description

Job Overview:

We are seeking a talented, detail-oriented SEO Content Writer to join our team. This individual will be responsible for creating engaging, SEO-optimized content for our ecommerce sites, including a heavy emphasis on product detail pages (PDPs) in addition to work on product listing pages (PLPs), landing pages, category pages and related digital content. The ideal candidate is a skilled writer who has a strong understanding of SEO best practices, ecommerce content strategy and how to drive traffic and conversions through high-quality, optimized content.

This role requires a balance of creativity, editorial judgment, technical accuracy, self-management and process adherence. Familiarity with generative AI tools to support content creation and research is highly desirable; however, strong human editorial oversight, attention to detail and content governance remain essential.

A passion for music, instruments, recording, live sound or music technology is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write and optimize content for product detail pages (PDPs), product listing pages (PLPs), landing pages, category pages and more.
  • Leverage generative AI tools to assist in content generation, ideation and optimization while maintaining strong editorial oversight, factual accuracy and brand consistency.
  • Verify product information against vendor-provided materials, technical documentation and internal resources to ensure factual accuracy and consistency.
  • Conduct keyword research and apply SEO best practices to improve organic visibility, traffic and customer engagement.
  • Update and maintain product descriptions, technical specifications and related content to ensure accuracy, consistency and completeness.
  • Apply ecommerce SEO best practices, including keyword integration, content hierarchy, internal linking awareness and search-focused formatting.
  • Collaborate with SEO and cross-functional teams to refine and optimize content based on search trends, product priorities and performance insights.
  • Ensure proper formatting, tone, voice and style across all content types while adhering to internal editorial standards and workflows.
  • Assist in developing scalable content strategies that improve the customer experience and support digital growth initiatives.
  • Stay up to date with SEO, ecommerce content and AI-assisted writing trends to ensure content remains current and effective.
  • Comfortable managing competing priorities, launches and deadlines within a high-volume, deadline-driven ecommerce environment.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English or a related field preferred but not required. Strong music/gear background is a plus.
  • Proven experience in SEO writing, editorial content creation or ecommerce content development.
  • Familiarity with generative AI tools for content creation (e.g., OpenAI ChatGPT, Copy.ai, Jasper) and the ability to responsibly integrate AI-assisted workflows with human editorial judgment.
  • Strong understanding of on-page SEO, keyword research and search engine best practices.
  • Comfortable working with technical product specifications, structured product data and detail-oriented ecommerce content.
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to write clearly and authentically for musicians, creators and audio professionals across a wide range of product categories.
  • Familiarity with editorial style guides and structured content processes; AP Style familiarity preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Passion for music gear, instruments, recording, live sound or music technology strongly preferred.
  • Experience working within CMS, PIM or ecommerce content management systems is preferred. Knowledge of HTML and basic web publishing skills is a plus.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and apply insights to content optimization.
