WHO YOU ARE:

We are seeking a highly motivated experienced Senior Appian Developer with strong technical background in Appian platform (primary), Java, SQL, Case Management integrations and robust communication skills. The successful candidate will contribute to an Appian development team, driving the implementation of cutting-edge solutions to meet business objectives. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership acumen, and strategic thinking.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
  • Design, develop, test, and debug new software or enhancements to existing software independently.
  • Perform requirement analysis, interact with various teams to iterate functionality in alignment with customer needs. Present application demo to the project team and customer.
  • Create technical design specifications, present technical design to fellow team members.
  • Perform maintenance on existing software products and contribute knowledge of business applications. Investigate and resolve bugs and deficiencies in the product codebase independently.
  • Participates in agile ceremonies. Builds stories, maintains data on PM tools (e.g JIRA) to streamline the software development process and enhance productivity.
  • Provide development estimates for new development initiatives and enhancement requests.
  • Triage issues by performing data analysis using SQL queries, application logs. Document root cause analysis (RCA) and presents it to the team.
  • Coach and review the work of lowerlevel professionals.
  • Participate in collaborative relationships with crossfunctional teams to launch new products, features, and services on time and within budget.
  • Technical Leadership:
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight for the Appian development.
  • Collaborate with architects and other engineers to design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient Appian solutions.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in technologies to drive continuous improvement.
  • Team Management:
  • Delegate and monitor work of less tenured Appian developers.
  • Mentor junior developers.
  • Project Development Management:
  • Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, and crossfunctional teams to understand project goals and requirements.
  • Develop work break down structures for project planning.
  • Participate in project standups and address challenges to keep development team on track. Proactively drive resolution of any blocking issues.
  • Conduct regular project code reviews.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance development efficiency.
  • Be open to learning other new technologies.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Foster effective communication between technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment between technical solutions and business objectives
  • WHAT WE REQUIRE:Minimum Qualifications:
  • Clearance Level:
  • Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance is required for access to TS/SCI facilities, environments, and computer systems.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree, preference for Information Technology, or related field (or 10+ years equivalent work experience)
  • 710 years of relevant professional experience
  • Active Certified Appian Lead Certificate
  • 3+ years of experience working as a Senior Appian Developer in a client facing or consulting role
  • Proven expertise in Appian BPM Platform and implementing complex Appian solutions.
  • Strong understanding of systems integration, business process automation
  • Handson ability to perform Proof of Concepts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical stakeholder
  • Ability to align technical strategies with overall business goals and objectives
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Experience building process automation solutions using Automation Anywhere, UiPath or another RPA
  • Ability to understand the longterm ("big picture") and shortterm perspectives of situations
  • Experience on a software development project in a Federal government/DOD setting
  • Willing to perform work onsite daily
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in SAIL, Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and creating Appian custom components.
