Position Overview
Continuum is searching for a highly skilled Senior Appian Developer to design, implement, and manage Appian Platform. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Appian architecture, API development, and integration solutions with enterprise applications such as Salesforce, Snowflake, AWS, Azure, Appian, and other cloud/on-premise platforms. The role requires deep technical expertise, hands-on development skills, and the ability to work closely with stakeholders to deliver scalable and secure solutions in GovCloud and hybrid MuleSoft environments.
Key Responsibilities
  • Integration Strategy: Define integration patterns, reusable components, and best practices for enterprise-wide API development across GovCloud, on-prem, and cloud platforms.
  • Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices, including OAuth, JWT, SAML, and API Gateway policies, ensuring compliance with FedRAMP, NIST, HIPAA, and other regulatory standards.
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, government agencies, and solution architects to understand integration needs and deliver robust solutions.
  • Documentation & Training: Maintain technical documentation, create API specifications, and mentor junior developers in best practices for hybrid and GovCloud integrations.
  • CI/CD & DevOps: Implement automated deployment pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps for continuous integration and delivery in GovCloud environments.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Appian applications for performance, scalability, and resilience in hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
  • Appian Gov Cloud & Hybrid Deployment: Deploy and manage Appian applications on GovCloud, and on-premise environments with a focus on hybrid integration.

Qualifications
  • Certified Level 2 Appian Developer
  • 3+ Years of experience as a hands-on Appian Developer in a senior/lead role for production applications
  • 1+ years of experience developing Appian Plugins
  • 1 Year of experience managing an on-premises Appian Production Environment
  • 2+ years of experience in configuring, debugging, and systems integration including configuring user interfaces, reports, underlying logic, and interface components as a developer.
  • 2+ years of experience with relational databases and SQL scripting.
  • 3+ years of experience in all phases of software development for large-scale business critical applications following Agile methodologies.
  • 2+ years of experience in the design and implementation of SOAP and REST APIs
  • U.S. Citizen/Green Card Holder

Preferred Skills:
  • 2+ years of recent work experience on a software development project in a Federal government setting.
  • Experience defining and documenting architecture for technology implementations leveraging different architectural views.
  • 1 Year of Experience with Java
