Job description

Summary of Position: The role of the Restaurant Service Manager is to focus on professionalism and providing a remarkable customer experience. The ideal candidate must possess in depth knowledge about Food & Beverage in addition to superior customer relation skills. Excellent communication is essential to build a rapport with guests and ability to lead a team.

Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

  • Showing guests to tables during Lunch and Dinner Service
  • Greeting and escorting guests with a professional and positive attitude
  • Oversea the flow of guests within the restaurant
  • Manage the front of the house team
  • Liaison between kitchen staff and floor staff
  • Maintain ambience of the restaurant, such as lighting, music, cleanliness, and hygiene
  • Oversea and pro-actively deal with guest queries and complaints
  • Advising guests on menus and beverage choices

Qualifications:

  • Able to communicate clearly in and possess a good command of verbal and written English. Additional language skills, such as French would be a distinct advantage and benefit
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience working within a Fine Dining establishment as captain or supervisor.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to understand and respond to individual guests needs and requirement s
  • A genuine interest and understanding in food and drink – wine and cocktail knowledge is essential
  • Ability to think on your feet and under pressure while maintaining a positive outlook.
  • Career minded and looking to grown into a General Manager Position within 1-2 years.

Physical Demands: This position is very active and requires standing for long periods of time. The position may require occasional lifting of products weighing up to 20 pounds.
