In your role as an LCPC, you will be entrusted with a variety of essential functions, including:

• Conducting thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to accurately evaluate patients' histories and determine the most appropriate treatment strategies.
• Developing individualized treatment plans centered on trauma recovery techniques and resilience-building methodologies that facilitate healing.
• Administering evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions, providing a supportive space for patients to process their trauma and acquire effective coping strategies.
• Collaborating with a network of psychiatrists and mental health professionals to ensure an integrated approach to patient care.
• Offering crisis intervention support during acute trauma-related emergencies, maintaining the safety and well-being of every client.
• Educating patients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available community resources.
• Ensuring accurate and confidential record-keeping in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Participating in team meetings, professional development sessions, and case consultations to enhance trauma-informed practices.
• Remaining current with the latest research and methodologies related to trauma therapy to continually improve service delivery.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

While not mandatory, the following attributes will set you apart from other candidates:

• At least two years of post-licensure experience in a relevant clinical setting.
• Experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies, with a preference for those knowledgeable in both EMDR and TF-CBT.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other computer applications pertinent to mental health documentation.
• A willingness to develop skills in counseling couples, as training will be provided.
