Job description

Job Title: Layout Inspector

Payrate: $25-28/hr DOE
Schedule: M-F 7am-3:30pm w/OT Saturday 7am-12noon

Job Summary: The Layout Inspector is responsible for performing precision inspections and verifications of machined and fabricated parts to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and industry standards. This role plays a critical part in maintaining quality assurance by utilizing advanced measuring tools and techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
•Conduct dimensional inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
•Interpret and apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles in verifying part accuracy.
•Read and analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation to ensure compliance with design specifications.
•Document inspection results and generate reports detailing findings, deviations, and necessary corrective actions.
•Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and recommend process improvements.
•Ensure compliance with industry standards and company quality control procedures.

Qualifications:
•3-5 years of experience in precision inspection, layout inspection, or quality control in a manufacturing environment.
•Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments and interpreting GD&T.
•Strong understanding of engineering drawings and specifications.
•Experience with CMM programming and operation is a plus.
•Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team
