HiFyve is hiring a Project Manager for a Manufacturing Equipment Company!

Salary: $103–135K/yr also offers per diem

Shift: M-F 8 am to 5 pm have to be flexible depending on customer needs (could travel on weekends if needed)

Location: Kansas City Metro / Extensive Travel (North America with occasional international travel)

Role Overview

Responsible for end-to-end execution of capital equipment projects, including planning, coordination, installation, commissioning, and project closeout. Supports technical sales activities as needed based on workload and gains exposure to broader project management responsibilities within complex industrial equipment environments.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage capital equipment projects through full lifecycle including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring/control, and closeout
  • Direct project execution activities to ensure delivery on schedule, within scope, and within budget
  • Coordinate installation, commissioning, and acceptance testing activities with internal teams and customers
  • Lead project coordination meetings and maintain action logs with clear follow-up on deliverables
  • Manage issue resolution between internal engineering, factory, service teams, and external customers
  • Maintain consistent communication with customers and internal stakeholders throughout project lifecycle
  • Support project closeout activities and ensure proper hand-off to service/support teams
  • Prepare and present project updates including cost, schedule, risk, and performance reporting
  • Coordinate procurement of equipment, materials, and third-party labor as needed
  • Participate in customer and internal strategy meetings representing project execution function
  • Provide technical support during pre-sale phases including layout review, feasibility input, and equipment configuration support

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering preferred) or related technical field
  • Equivalent combination of education and 5+ years of relevant experience may be considered
  • PMP certification preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • 5+ years of experience in project management within capital equipment, manufacturing, or food processing environments
  • Strong understanding of industrial equipment systems (slicing, packaging, or similar processing systems preferred)
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication, leadership, and customer-facing skills
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and system documentation
  • Proficiency with MS Office; experience with CAD tools (AutoCAD/SolidWorks or equivalent) preferred
  • Experience with CRM and ERP systems (Salesforce, SAP, or similar) preferred
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills with attention to detail
