Job description

Pay Rate: $26.45-$31.25 / hr

We are hiring associate technicians to support ongoing build out of a data center installation in the San Jose area. These will be full-time, temp to hire contracts. Looking to start mid-August for training with a project start date in September.

Project involves installation of 200 to 1200 devices, with numerous copper and fiber cable connections. Structured Cabling and rack buildouts are sometimes included, but mostly in-rack jumper connections within existing facilities is all that's required.


Required Skills:

  1. Familiarity with Data Centers
  2. Ability to do basic construction (Example: Drill and mount a switch under a conference room desk)
  3. Attention to Detail: Understand and adhere to labeling standards, leave a site cleaner than you found it, clean/proper cable securing practices, etc.

Many sites are managed under Federal regulations. As such a background check and drug test are required to be submitted and approved by regulators prior to on-boarding.

Physical Requirements

Work is sometimes performed in an environment, using simple, easy muscular movements, involving only the handling of light materials, tools, or equipment in easy work positions, and with no special speed requirements or long stretches of exertion. Vision requirements for this job include close vision and the ability to focus. Remaining in a stationary position and in front of a computer screen for prolonged periods will be necessary. Repeating motions such as typing, that may include wrists, hands and/or fingers are necessary. Moderate physical effort may be necessary. May require stooping, bending, kneeling, periodic lifting up to 50 pounds, crawling and walking, as well as traversing uneven ground. Requires dexterity to connect network and server equipment, peripherals, and make minor repairs to computer equipment.
