Description
SkyHop Global is seeking a motivated and hands-on Assistant Station Leader to support our fast-paced Los Angeles (LAX) operation.
This role is ideal for an emerging leader looking to expand their operational leadership experience in a dynamic 24/7/365 transportation environment. As a key partner to the Station Leader, you will help oversee daily operations, coach and support frontline team members, ensure compliance with safety and service standards, and contribute to delivering exceptional transportation solutions for our airline partners. The successful candidate thrives in a customer-focused environment, leads by example, and is passionate about building high-performing teams and operational excellence.
What You'll Do
  • Support the day-to-day management of a 24/7 airline crew transportation operation serving the Los Angeles (LAX) market.
  • Assist with the leadership, coaching, training, and development of driver team members to ensure high levels of performance and engagement.
  • Help coordinate staffing, schedules, and operational workflows to meet service commitments and airline partner expectations.
  • Promote a culture of safety by ensuring compliance with DOT regulations, airport requirements, and company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor operational performance, identify service gaps, and proactively communicate and resolve issues to maintain service excellence.
  • Foster positive working relationships with airline partners, team members, and company leadership through effective communication and collaboration.
  • Serve as the on-site operational leader in the absence of the Station Leader, ensuring continuity of service and effective decision-making.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency, employee engagement, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements
  • Two (2) or more years of leadership, supervisory, or management experience in transportation, logistics, aviation, hospitality, or a similarly fast-paced service environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead by example in a hands-on operational setting, with a strong presence in the field and a commitment to supporting frontline teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively resolve problems and make sound decisions in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work in a 24/7/365 operation, including flexibility to support evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency operational needs as required.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations, transportation compliance requirements, and safety best practices is preferred; training will be provided.
  • Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the Los Angeles (LAX) market and be available to regularly support on-site operations.
