Job description

Maintenance Supervisor

Up to $60,000 Depending on Experience

Northeast Residential Services (NRS) is seeking an experienced maintenance supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience successfully completing home and property repair, grounds maintenance, and supervision of maintenance technicians. Ability to manage and prioritize an online maintenance ticketing system, communicate with and secure vendors, and utilize strong verbal, written, and online communication with agency employees is required. The maintenance supervisor must meet deadlines while ensuring the health and safety of NRS properties while performing after hours on call response.

NRS provides24/7 support and supervision to adults with developmental disabilities and Autism in their homes. Our efforts enable them to live independent, meaningful, and productive lives.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Travel to NRS residential programs and offices to perform repairs, and general maintenance.
  • Coordinate and oversee the completion of intra-office and with residential moves
  • Supervise maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment
  • Oversee the completion of agency renovation projects
  • Obtain quotes from vendors and suppliers and ensure cost effectiveness
  • Manage contractor and vendor relationships and verify the completion of their work
  • Ensure that seasonal maintenance such as winterization, plowing, lawn care, gutter cleaning, air conditioning removal and installation is performed
  • Provide lawn maintenance to all programs without established lawn care services (lawn mowing, seeding, weed removal)
  • Work within facility maintenance budgets
  • Respond to facility and equipment alarms and system failures
  • Provide prompt response to requests and issues from facility occupants
  • Ensure that all facilities look clean and are free from any environmental hazards both inside and out
  • Perform after hours on call services for emergent situations
  • Utilize a workorder tracking system daily to update and organize daily/monthly/yearly maintenance tasks

Essential Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or the equivalent.
  • Hands-on knowledge and experience in the safe operation of a variety of tools, machinery power equipment used in performing essential functions
  • Basic knowledge of building codes and construction and architecture terminology
  • Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50lbs
  • Possess strong written, verbal and electronic communication skills must be proficient in Microsoft office applications
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Must possess a valid Maine Driver's License
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate fluently in English
