Job description

The Lawn Care Laborer is responsible for maintaining the appearance, health, and safety of residential and commercial lawns. This role includes mowing, trimming, edging, and performing general lawn care tasks under the guidance of the landscaping crew. The ideal candidate is hardworking, reliable, and able to work outdoors in all types of weather while delivering quality results.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate lawn mowers, trimmers, edgers, blowers, and other landscaping equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Mow lawns, edge sidewalks and driveways, trim around trees and landscaping features, and remove debris.
  • Perform basic lawn maintenance tasks, such as raking leaves, spreading mulch, and watering plants.
  • Maintain and clean equipment after each use to ensure proper operation and longevity.
  • Follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members regarding job status and any issues encountered.
  • Ensure properties are left clean, safe, and visually appealing.
  • During Winter season, assist with snow and ice operations
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid Driver's License preferred.
  • Must show consistent professionalism, good judgement, and safety precautions.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Previous lawn care, landscaping, or groundskeeping experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work in all kinds of weather conditions including heat, rain, snow, etc.
  • Physical stamina to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
  • Good communication skills and customer service skills

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
  • Outdoor work in all types of weather, including sun, rain, and cold.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent walking, bending, standing, and operating landscaping equipment.
  • Exposure to lawn care chemicals, dust, and noise while following safety procedures.
