Description
Make an Impact Where It Matters Most
At Mountain Laurel Medical Center (MLMC), our mission is simple yet powerful: to provide high-quality, patient-centered healthcare to our communities-regardless of ability to pay. As a Federally Qualified Health Center serving multiple locations across Maryland and West Virginia, we are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented, and reliable Medical Assistant to work alongside our clinicians.
This is more than a clinical support role-it's an opportunity to be on the front lines of patient care, playing a vital role in improving health outcomes and delivering compassionate, mission-driven care to the communities we serve.
The Medical Assistant's responsibility is to support and assist providers and nursing staff to deliver optimal patient care. This person helps coordinate patient flow, provides basic health and wellness education, and is instrumental in ensuring patients feel at ease in the office.
MLMC is proud to support work-life balance by offering a consistent Monday through Friday schedule with no routine weekends, allowing employees more time for family, personal commitments, and overall well-being.
Position will be based in Oakland, but will require interoffice travel to Mountain Laurel service sites including, Westernport, Grantsville, and Bruceton. Mileage reimbursement will be provided for all approved work-related travel between sites in accordance with organizational policy.
The successful candidate will uphold the Code of Ethics and mission of Mountain Laurel Medical Center in a manner consistent with the core values of Patient-Focused, Respect, Accountability, Teamwork, Continuous Improvement, and Integrity.
The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent. Ideally, candidate will be MA certified. Experience with Electronic Medical Records, medical terminology and phlebotomy is preferred. Current CPR certification is required.
At Mountain Laurel Medical Center, we believe in caring for our employees as much as we care for our patients. We offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your health, financial well-being, work-life balance, and professional growth, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, holidays, retirement benefits, employee assistance resources, and ongoing development opportunities. Join a mission-driven team committed to making a difference in the communities we serve.
