Job description

Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our General Orthopedic Surgeon, you will join CHI Saint Joseph Medical Group, part of CommonSpirit Health, within a well-established and high-functioning orthopedic practice at CHI Saint Joseph London in London, Kentucky. You will benefit from a large referral base, limited local competition, dedicated surgical block time, and the stability of an employed position within a national nonprofit health system.
Every day you will provide clinic-based and surgical care through an anticipated schedule of two to three clinic days and two surgery days each week.
To be successful in this role, you will be a board-certified or board-eligible Orthopedic Surgeon with expertise or focused training in adult reconstructive hip and knee surgery. You will bring strong surgical judgment, a collaborative approach, and a commitment to clinical excellence and compassionate community care within a group whose providers perform at the 75th percentile.
  • Dedicated operating room block days
  • 1:4 call, taken seven days at a time and consisting primarily of phone consultations,
  • Join three physicians, eight APPs, CMAs, and additional support staff.
  • APPs assist in both the clinic and inpatient rounding
  • Access to in-clinic X-ray
  • Epic EMR
  • Work at a state-of-the-art 150-bed regional hospital.
We are offering a competitive salary guarantee for up to three years, followed by a lucrative production model, along with an additional quality-based bonus. The recruitment package may include a sign-on bonus, student loan assistance, a residency stipend, and relocation assistance. Benefits include one week of CME with a $4,000 allowance, paid malpractice insurance with tail coverage, potential eligibility for federal and state student loan forgiveness programs, comprehensive health and wellness benefits, and retirement options through Fidelity with up to a 3% match plus an additional annual company contribution equal to 3% of salary toward a 401(k) or pension plan. Final compensation and recruitment incentives will be discussed directly with qualified candidates and may vary based on experience, training, location, and specialty.
Job Requirements
Required
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
  • Active Medical License in the State of Kentucky, or ability to obtain prior to employment
  • DEA certificate
  • Completion of ACGME Orthopedic Surgery Residency and preferred Fellowship in Adult Reconstructive or Total Joints
