    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Sorting area - Ability to unload trailer and push/pull up to 900lbs of dirty linen
  • Tie area (Shipping) - Ability to load the trailers with 900 -1,000lbs of linen
  • Terry area - Ability to separate and feed terry to machine or fold/stack and place on conveyer. Max lifting 25 lbs.
  • Ironer area - Ability to pull sheets from bin with 25-30 pounds of pressure.
  • Ability to use repetitive motion
  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to speak, see and hear
  • Ability to have color distinction and hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to lift, push, pull 90+ pounds
  • Ability to grasp, reach, bend, twist, stoop and climb ladders.

  • Ability to work in a hot, humid, and noisy environment with variations in temperature
  • Ability to tolerate dust
  • Positions that have contact with the public require the ability to work in a noisy
    environment and may be exposed to guests who use tobacco products.  Also, non-public contact positions may be required to enter public areas from time to time, in connection with their duties, and may be subject to the same environment.
  • Counts items for the day and inventories outgoing items.
  • Removes all foreign materials from linen and uniforms, including personal clothing or articles, silverware and trash.
  • Disposes of foreign materials in accordance with established procedures.
  • Sorts soiled laundry based on type & color of item and degree of soil.
  • Feeds sheets, pillowslips, napkins and table linen into folder and ironer equipment.
  • Presses select articles using appropriate equipment.
  • Inspects finished items for quality control, ensuring standards are met and maintained.
  • Maintains flow rack, including tying bundles, loading trays, stacking bundles and counting.
  • Loads folded linen into bins and hangs garments on racks.
  • Completes all necessary paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Always maintains work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Sorts, hand folds and stacks on the conveyor system bathmats, washcloths and sauna towels.
  • Sorts, feeds towel machine and stacks linen on conveyor system.
  • Folds and stacks in bins all miscellaneous items including rugs, bedspreads and shower curtains.
