Overview

Alliance Laundry Systems Distribution is a full-service commercial and industrial laundry equipment partner with over 110 years of industry experience.  We offer comprehensive support services including installation, factory-trained service, genuine parts replacement, site selection, financing, and store design.  We exclusively sell trusted brands - Speed Queen, UniMac, and Huebsch - known for durability and reliability.

We serve a wide range of customers, including laundromat owners, Speed Queen franchise operators, and on-premises laundry managers, helping them maximize profits and reduce operating costs.

The General Manager is responsible for driving top-line revenue, improving efficiency, and increasing profits while managing the overall operations of their assigned Direct Distribution location(s). The GM will oversee several elements in the business, including but not limited to people, operating budgets, and selling strategy (launching price promotions, product/profit mix, business segments, overall Go-To-Market Strategies, etc.). 

Responsibilities
  • Drive daily business operations through effective leadership of sales, service, and installation at the distribution location(s)
  • Partner with the Commercial Regional GM to design and execute high-impact sales strategies that accelerate revenue growth and market penetration
  • Own financial performance by managing budgets, analyzing P&L statements, and other financial reports to make data-driven decisions that maximize profitability
  • Champion customer satisfaction by monitoring feedback, resolving escalations, and holding the team accountable to delivering a high-quality experience at every touchpoint with sales, installation, and service. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, improve operational workflows, and drive continuous improvement across the distribution location(s)
  • Lead all people operations and talent development in partnership with Corporate HR, to create a team of high performers that contribute to the success of the collective distribution team
  • Partner with the NA Operations team to support efficient parts and warehouse functions at the distribution location(s)
  • Ensure compliance with legal and safety requirements
Qualifications

Education & Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
  • At least 6 years of work experience in leading teams, sales, and customer/account management with proven track record of success
    • Hands-on experience managing a P&L to track performance and drive accountability
    • Experience and proven successful track record with sales forecast accuracy.
    • Working knowledge of management software programs including QuickBooks and SAP strongly preferred
    • Proficiency leveraging Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and presentations

Travel:

  • Ability to travel as needed, approximately 40% of the time

Standard and Physical Requirements:

  • Position involves sitting for prolonged periods, standing, manual dexterity, stooping, and bending
  • Position requires the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. occasionally. For greater weight items assistive devices will be provided
