Travel: Frequent travel across the distribution network (50-75%)

Position Summary:

Customer Scope & Change Management: Lead execution of customer-driven changes including expansions, new processes, and network adjustments

Process Launch: Deployment of systems, SOPs, and standardized workflows (GXD, Blue Yonder, etc.)

Site Launch: End-to-end facility startup including readiness, staffing, go-live execution, and stabilization

Scope of Responsibility

The Senior Manager, Launch Operations will work across traditional project management and operations duties to enable rapid, sustainable site-launches within North American Contract Logistics. This leader is responsible for leading the end-to-end startup, stabilization, and performance ramp of new and expanding facilities across the Contract Logistics network. This role drives operational readiness, launch standardization, and operational excellence (launch site) while partnering cross-functionally with internal teams, customers, and site leadership.

This leader will own launch playbook-delivery, execution timelines, and post-launch performance to ensure sites meet safety, service, inventory & quality, and financial targets from day one. While simultaneously supporting the build-out of high-velocity launch solutions across Contract Logistics.

This role extends beyond site startup to include process deployment and customer-driven change management across the network.

Key Responsibilities

Launch Execution & Site Startup

Lead full site-launch lifecycle, from pre-launch planning through go-live and stabilization

Develop and execute launch plans including site infrastructure, staffing, training, layout readiness, and SOP deployment

Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure launch readiness

Serve as the primary point of contact for launch activities and escalations

Operational Readiness & Standardization

Ensure SOPs are implemented and validated prior to go-live

Drive consistency across sites through standardized processes and reporting

Partner with Shared Services teams to implement best practices

Validate system readiness across platforms (GXD, Blue Yonder, CargoWrite, etc.)

Performance & Stabilization

Own site ramp performance post-launch ensuring KPI achievement

Monitor throughput, safety, inventory & quality, service SLAs, and financial performance

Conduct regular site-performance reviews and drive corrective actions, working hands-on wherever necessary

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

Partner effectively with local and central stakeholders

Interface directly with customers, serving as one of the primary points of contact during launch activities, in conjunction with internal stakeholders

Drive tactical execution while also providing executive-level updates throughout launch activities, inclusive of project and task status, operational performance, and proactive risk identification

Risk Management & Problem Solving

Proactively identify risks and develop mitigation strategies

Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards

Qualifications

Required

7-10+ years in operations, supply chain, or related field

Experience leading multi-site or large-scale operations

Proven experience launching new facilities

Strong knowledge of operational systems and tools

Experience managing KPIs and financial performance

Preferred

Experience with large enterprise customers

Background in multi-site operations

For this position, the expected base pay range is $128,200.00 - $150,000.00 Annual. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
