Launch Teams Operational Supervisor

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Operational Supervisor with direct aviation experience.

Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

Operational Supervisors are responsible for leading, directing and developing technicians skills qualificaitons and performance to facilitate the continued growth of thew TEAMS Services business, championing the LAUNCH culture and brand. Strict adherence to FAA and customer airworthy regulatory requirments to insure a safe, reliable and airworthy aircraft upon delivery. Professionally interacting with customers with a focus in fullfilling our customer promise of on-time, on budget, delivered safely and in compliance. Adhereing to company policies and procedures, being professional, communicative, cooperative and collaborative in all aspects of the business is expected. LAUNCH has a strog customer base and continues to aggressively grow, which will require travel to support the operation on occasion.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Champion and report all safety and quality policies, procedures and best practices
• Adhere with checklists, audits and investigations as prescribed by quality assurance
• Lead and direct technicians to be in compliance to FAA and other regulatory agency requirments
• Adhere to LAUNCH’s policies and procesdures
• Respect, promote and comply with LAUNCH’s cultural standards towards employees, cutomers and suplliers
• Develop and advance technicians skills and qualifications, performance and professionalism
• Be available and present for technicians and employees
• Comply to Supervisors Duties and Responsibilties as outlined in SOP’s 11.0 to include;
• Pre-planning crew requirments, schedules, rosters and assignments
• Daily crew briefings highlighting safety, quality and operational objectives and expectations
• Assign each lead mechanic and/or mechanic their respective work task for each day.
• Safety walk of aircraft and hangar bay to insure a clean, organizaed and a safe work environment (proper use of equipment and PPE)
• Document and report all quality issues, and work directly with Launch quality on reporting and corrective actions
• Fully understand all Launch and customer qualifications required to perform maintenance specific to station assigned
• Complete the daily turnover accurately and completely
• Perform 3 month performance reviews and constructive feedback for each new Launch technicians
• Review past day performance during daily crew briefings
• Business Acumen…Run the Business to include;
• Maintain cost control to meet or beat allocated budget
• Meet the customer schedule expectation
• Document all over and above customer requested tasks for evaluation and approval
• Maintain accurate tracking accounting for technician schedules, assignements, manhours to insure accurate payroll processing
• Adhere for critical business process timelines to insure billing and payroll deliverables are met.
• Coordinating with other appropriate departments to organize and control the customer’s work package and any special considerations
• Attend customer meetings and pre-dock/post dock meetings for any project Launch is contributing
• Establish formated Scorecards for each assigned project and customer

• Project management skills with the ability to multitask across several projects
• Computer software skills; Microsoft office products, Industry planning and production software
• Policy and procedure compliance discipline
• Working knowledge of FARS and FAA 145 Repair Station Certificate requirments and obligations

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
• College Degree Preffered
• A&P Certificates
• 5 years technical hands on experience
• 3 years of supervisory experience leading and directing aircraft maintenance technicians on transport category aircraft
• LEAN Continuous Improvement experience
