Why this role matters

They are responsible for the program's Launch Mission deliverables to the launch service provider by ensuring that all the Program satellites part of their missions are ready to be launched safely and deployed correctly into orbit.

In addition to the Program Launch Mission Management, their role is also to learn about the technical interface with the Program engineering team, build an aligned relationship with the team designing the satellite and the Program Team to ensure the scale up production of the satellites stays aligned with the Launch Team. They will also build the launch campaigns processes with the help of the SAR Launch Management Team and take part in the launch campaigns.

The position sits within the Launch management Team and serves as the bridge/interface between the Program satellite delivery team as well as being one of the direct interfaces with ICEYE's launch service providers and launch agencies such as ExoLaunch and SpaceX, supporting the scalability, quality, and reliability of ICEYEโ€™s launching operations.

Your day-to-day responsibilities
  • Program Launch Mission management

    • Supports and builds the know-how launch mission planning and execution, including schedules, interfaces, documentation, and readiness reviews.

    • Create redundancy in the team with the goal to be able to manage the Program launch missions management from start to finish.

    • Outcome: Owns the Program launch missions and its management. Prepare the satellites to be launched on specific missions by managing the deliverables timeline and content and producing the necessary documentation to provide to the launch agency or launch service provider

  • Program Launch MGSE

    • Builds the Program Launch Mechanical Ground Support Equipment needed and puts it in place.

  • Program Point of Contact

    • Build relationships with the other Program teams and become the launch reference for the Program platform.

  • Program Launch Campaigns

    • Prepare satellites for launch campaigns.

    • Support the Program launch campaign alongside the other launch teams.

What weโ€™re looking forMust haves
  • Education: Master's degree in a related field

  • Experience: 0-3 years of experience in the space, aeronautics or automotive industry.

  • Skills: Project management, satellite and general space knowledge, Microsoft office skills.

  • Behavioral skills: Perfect communication, customer relations, problem solving, listener, mindset of a good organiser.

  • Other: English fluent, handsโ€‘on technical work enthusiast and travel enthusiast.

Base salary range for this position is dependant on experience, and will be negotiated individually.
