Job description

Journeyman lathers are responsible for installing metal lath and metal trims for walls and ceilings in primarily residential remediation projects. They will work closely with other trades and site supervisors to ensure high-quality workmanship and compliance with all safety and building codes.

Responsibilities

  • Install metal lath and other materials to support plaster, stucco, or other finishes.
  • Measure, cut, and secure lath to walls, ceilings, and structural frameworks.
  • Ensure proper alignment, spacing, and fastening of lath.
  • Ensure all trims are plumb and level.
  • Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Follow all site safety protocols and company procedures

Requirements

  • Minimum 2โ€“5 years of experience in lathing or related construction work.
  • Proficient with tools and equipment used in lathing.
  • Physically fit and able to work in various conditions (heights, outdoors, etc.).
