Job description

We are looking for a CNC Lathe Machinist to join our 2nd shift in Tualatin, OR.


CNC Lathe Machinist Responsibilities:

  • Operate CNC lathe machines to produce parts according to technical specifications, drawings, or blueprints
  • Monitor machine functions, ensuring they are operating correctly and efficiently
  • Load raw materials onto the machine
  • Secure the workpieces ensuring proper alignment and positioning for accurate machining
  • Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to check the dimensions of finished parts
  • Ensure the parts meet quality standards and specifications, adjusting as necessary
  • Continuously monitor the machine's operation during the machining process
  • Follow instructions carefully from setup technicians, programmers, or supervisors
  • Keep the work area clean and organized, ensuring all tools, equipment, and materials are properly stored when not in use


Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, general education degree (GED) or equivalent
  • Experience in a precision machine shop environment
  • Ability to interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)
  • At least 6 months of experience in machine tool operation or 6 months machining training, or equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training


Preferred Skills:

  • Training in basic shop and measurement math, including linear measurement, metrics, algebra and geometry
  • Familiarity with ISO documentation and processes is a big plus


Pay:

  • Competitive pay based on experience
  • Employees on the 2nd shift receive an addition 10% differential towards their pay
    • 10% differential = Hourly Pay X .10
  • Eligible for Overtime
