Job description: Large Format Print Operator

We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic, and reliable person to oversee large format print production in a fast-paced environment. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, organizational and time management skills, and the ability to switch from one project to the next with ease. The Print Operator will be responsible for preparing digital files for production, maintenance and operation of both large format latex and direct dispersal dye sublimation printer(s), as well as reviewing and ensuring print quality standards are upheld in accordance with company standards while maintaining a strict production schedule. 


Base pay can be adjusted after 60 days based on performance and reliability.


Qualifications

•    High school diploma or equivalent required.

•    Experience with Adobe Creative Suite software(s) required. Proficiency preferred.

•    Previous experience operating large-format Latex and/or Dye Sublimation printers preferred.

•    Previous experience operating pressure sensitive cold laminators and cutting / plotter machines preferred.

•    Experience with RIP software such as ONYX, Caldera, Flexi, Fiery, or similar is a plus.

•    Basic understanding of color management, color theory and ICC color profiles.

•    Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move rolls of media and finished materials as required.

•    Print finishing, trimming, cutting, installation and packaging experience preferred.

•    Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment required.

•    Ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing, required.

•    Ability to plan and organize projects in an efficient manner, adhering to deadlines required.

•    Ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with team members is required.

•    Possession of a valid Ohio driver’s license and reliable transportation required.


Summary of Responsibilities include:

•    Operation and maintenance (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly and Annual) of direct dispersion dye sublimation printer.

•    Operation and maintenance (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly and Annual) of UV Latex printer.

•    Safely handle, load, and unload rolls of material up to 127 inches in width.

•    Set up hardware and displays for proper fitment, with knowledge of various hardware types and their applications.

•    Preparation of digital files for print production using RIP software(s).

•    Prepare, finish, and install vinyl, display film, and fabric materials using a variety of techniques, including trimming, weeding, pre-masking, lamination, and other finishing processes.

•    Organizing and maintaining a strict production schedule in a fast paced, high output environment.

•    Manage and maintain accurate inventory levels across a large number of products including printer consumables, materials and hardware.

•    Conduct quality control inspections throughout the production and finishing process to ensure accuracy and consistency.

•    Perform accurate color matching, color profiling and adjustments as needed to ensure consistency with established specifications and customer requirements.

•    Troubleshoot and resolve machine and material issues to ensure proper fitment, color consistency, and overall product quality.

•    Collaborate closely with the Production team, Design team and Design Director to ensure quality, accuracy, and efficiency throughout the production process.

•    Provide support to other departments as needed to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

•    General clean up and organization, as necessary during downtime.

8-hour shift

Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm, assuming a 30-minute meal break
