Job description

Marching Band Auxiliary Advisorย (Flag and Majorette)

ย 
  • 2025-2026ย school year
  • Pupil activity required
  • Isย at least 25 years of age
  • Has high school AND collegiate experience with color guard and/or majorette (both is a plus)
  • Experience with rifle, saber, fire baton, and other auxiliary performance apparatuses is a bonus
  • Has experience with teaching established guard/majorette squads, specifically writing and teaching complex routines, while breaking routines down 'by the counts'
  • Is committed to a full band family experience for the auxiliary unit and integrating this part of the program into the whole as much as possible -
  • Has availability for all of band camp (last week of July, all day), August evening rehearsals before school (begins 4:30-7:30pm), Wednesday afternoon rehearsals during the school year if possible, a sectional time of their choice (that best fits the needs of the students on the line), Friday games, and some Saturday evenings.
