Shifts Available:

  • 1st - 5:30AM - 2:00PM
  • 2nd Shift - 2:00PM - 10:30PM

The Role
The Laser Operator is responsible for operating and programming our TRUMPF Boost Laser cutting and bending systems, ensuring accurate, high-quality output on every run.

Responsibilities

  • Operate TRUMPF Boost Laser cutting and bending system programs
  • Program files for laser cut nesting
  • Convert SolidWorks files into laser sheet metal files for production
  • Create standard work instructions for new and existing programs
  • Basic setup and tool loading on press brake
  • Troubleshoot CNC programs and implement process improvements
  • Communicate effectively with staff to ensure accuracy and quality

Knowledge & Skills

  • Experience with CNC laser cutting, bending systems, and workflows
  • Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and similar equipment
  • Understanding of welding and final assembly of complex sheet metal assemblies
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
  • Collaborative team player across departments

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be 18 or older
  • Experience in metal fabrication preferred
  • Experience in laser operation and programming preferred
  • Prior use of TRUMPF systems, Boost Programs, or TruTops is a strong plus
  • Basic computer skills required
