Job description

Job Title: Motion Sensor Characterization Engineer. Experience between 3 - 7 years required.
Location: Redmond, WA
JD:
Responsibilities
• Collaborate with other researchers and engineers across both hardware and research teams develop experiments, prototypes, and characterization methodologies for AR/VR systems
• Work with the team to help design, setup, and run practical experiments on motion sensors such as IMUs, pressure sensors and magnetometers
• Own execution, interpretation, and reporting of sensor characterization results
• Define, architect, design and drive implementation of scalable test infrastructure
• Support system bring up and debug activities
Minimum Qualifications
• B.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Physics or related fields
• 3+ years' experience with setup, management, and execution of sensor characterization equipment such as temperature chamber, vacuum chamber, shaker table, rate table,scanning laser vibrometer, bend and torsion tester or similar equipment
• 3+ years' hands-on laboratory experience with mechanical and electrical hardware bring-up and debug
• Demonstrated experience with gyroscopes, accelerometers, pressure sensor and/or magnetometer characterization and qualification
• Experience with statistical analysis using MATLAB, Python or similar programming environments
• Demonstrated ability for generating high-quality test & characterization reports
Preferred Qualifications
• 2+ years' experience with scripting environments such as Python, MATLAB, or C/C++
• 2+ years' experience in test software development using C/C++ or similar programming environments
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a highly cross-functional team environment
• Experience in testing and characterization of consumer electronics devices
• High levels of creativity and quick problem-solving skills
