Job description

POSITION TITLE: BURNER/LASER OPERATOR โ€“ ENTRY LEVEL (LEVEL I)
2nd Shift

A Burner/Laser Operator โ€“ Entry Level (Level I) is responsible for flame/laser cutting material to
customer specifications.

POSITION REPORTS TO: Site specific (Plant Superintendent, Shift Supervisor, Production
Manager, and/or Warehouse Manager)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
๏‚ท Position correct type and size of steel on the burning/laser table
๏‚ท Monitor the burning of the material
๏‚ท Remove steel and scrap from burning unit
๏‚ท Perform IPIR
๏‚ท Understand and follow the work-order process for meeting customer quality expectations
๏‚ท Use the process scheduler
๏‚ท Perform preventive maintenance checks on equipment as scheduled
๏‚ท Work area responsibilities โ€“ follow 5S and safety standards

QUALIFICATIONS:
๏‚ท Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
๏‚ท Ability to follow written instructions and drawings
๏‚ท Ability to use tape measure, calipers, and micrometer
๏‚ท Certified to operate a lift truck and crane
๏‚ท Ability to use a hand grinder
๏‚ท High school diploma, training, and/or equivalent experience

REQUIRED PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:
๏‚ท Steel-toe safety shoes
๏‚ท Gloves
๏‚ท Safety glasses
๏‚ท Hard hat
