Position Summary:
We’re looking for a PEMsert Operator to join our precision metal fabrication team on second shift. The PEMsert Operator installs threaded inserts, standoffs, and other hardware into sheet metal components using manual or hydraulic PEMsert machines. If you have a sharp eye for detail and enjoy hands-on, precision work, we want you on our team.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate PEMsert machines to install hardware in sheet metal parts per blueprints and work orders.
  • Verify correct hardware type, location, and orientation before installation.
  • Inspect completed parts to ensure proper hardware seating and alignment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, job travelers, and part drawings.
  • Keep accurate records of completed work and report any quality or material issues.
  • Maintain and organize hardware inventory and tooling.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on PEMsert machines.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Required Qualifications:
Education amp; Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sheet metal fabrication or a related trade preferred.
  • Experience operating PEMsert or similar fabrication machinery a plus.
Skills amp; Competencies:
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience operating a PEMsert machine.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of bend allowances and tolerances.
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork.
  • Reliable attendance and a positive attitude required.

Work Environment:
  • Manufacturing floor environment with exposure to moderate noise, dust, and moving machinery.
  • Must adhere to all PPE and safety requirements.
  • Hours typically run from 5:30AM- 4:00 PM, Monday through Thursday.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching.
