Responsibilities:
Float Physical Therapists receive an additional $2.00 per hour differential in recognition of the flexibility and adaptability required for this role.
The Float Physical Therapist will rotate between the following clinic locations:
  • Kaseman - Albuquerque
  • Healthplex - Albuquerque
  • Southern - Rio Rancho
  • Las Estancias - South Valley

Physical Therapist are movement experts who improve quality of life through hands-on care, patient education and prescribed movement. Our Physical therapist work as a team with physical therapy assistants to treat people of all ages and abilities.
In this position with Presbyterian's Outpatient rehabilitation department gives clinicians the opportunity to treat a variety of patients and the ability to work with a group of therapist that have a range in specialties. The Outpatient rehabilitation team is collaborative and patient-focused. We place a strong emphasis on providing orientation and mentorship in order to ensure the well-being and success of our new team members. Additional Job Duties:
  • Evaluates patients, develops plans and goals, and implements treatment programs for improvement of physical or developmental dysfunction and independence in activities of daily living.
  • Continuously reassesses treatment plans and goals.
  • Educates and instructs regarding home programs and preventive measures as appropriate to patient, family, and others.
  • Prepares written documentation as required by the profession and the department in a timely manner.
  • Communicates with patient, family, physician, and other healthcare providers regarding patient care.
  • Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
  • Participates in educational programs and inservices and other meetings as required. Participates on special project teams and other related duties as assigned and requested

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Doctor of Physical Therapy Preferred.
  • NM License of Physical Therapy required.
  • BLS required at time of hire.
  • New graduates are encouraged to apply.
