Job description

Laravel is the most popular PHP framework in the world. 500M+ lifetime downloads. Thousands of packages. A developer community that shows up - at conferences, in forums, on Twitter, in Discord servers, and in every "what framework should I use?" thread on the internet.
But Laravel is more than a framework. It is a complete ecosystem with dedicated tools and resources to help you go from building an app locally to deploying it, monitoring usage, and then improving and scaling it up. Laravel Cloud is the platform at heart of it all: a fully managed home for web apps, with managed compute, databases, caches, object storage, WebSockets, queues, and built-in scale-to-zero with millisecond wakes that keeps idle infrastructure from breaking the budget.
We're early. Laravel Cloud is growing fast, the roadmap is wide open, and the decisions we make now will shape the product for years. There is no 50-page process doc and no layer of approvals between you and shipping. What there is: incredible product-market fit, a brand that opens every door, and a small team of people who care deeply about doing this right. We're looking for a Product Manager to help us build it.
Why this role is unique
  • You are building infrastructure for developers with strong, informed opinions and a low tolerance for inauthenticity.
  • Earning technical credibility matters, even if you are not an engineer - you'll be making product calls about compute, databases, and scaling.
  • You own a real slice of the product end to end and operate in real ambiguity, helping define what Laravel Cloud becomes.
  • Product is a team sport here. Engineering, design, and marketing are true partners.
What you will do
  • Own products end-to-end. Take an area of Laravel Cloud from conception to launch - discovery, prioritization, and shipping - and know it better than anyone in the company.
  • Partner closely with engineering. Define scope and appetite together with engineering, bringing the why, the who, and the when while the team owns the how.
  • Stay close to customers. Talk to customers regularly - enterprise calls, community signal, direct interviews - and let what you learn drive prioritization.
  • Be data-driven on outcomes. "We shipped it" isn't the finish line - adoption is. Track how features are adopted and used, and prioritize based on what the data says.
  • Be the connective tissue. Brief marketing and sales ahead of launches and own the holistic experience, so your area feels coherent, not just complete.
What the ideal candidate brings
  • Good taste and a high craft bar. You have opinions about what makes product feel right and defend them, holding design and engineering to a high standard.
  • Focus on what matters. Comfortable juggling several projects at once, with ruthless prioritization and clear async communication.
  • Competitive awareness. You know the landscape cold - Heroku, Vercel, Railway, Render, Fly - and what good looks like on observability, deploy ergonomics, and billing transparency.
  • Technical curiosity. Learns infrastructure concepts proactively to maintain credibility with technical audiences.
  • Customer-first, collaborative DNA. Strong cross-functional partnerships, with a focus on developer value over shipping features.
  • Comfort with early-stage ambiguity. Enjoys experimentation and iteration, and building the plane while flying it.
What success looks like
  • Velocity. You ship fast and on time - speed is core to how we work, and PMs have outsized impact on it.
  • Quality. You ship with the level of quality synonymous with Laravel, scoping with engineering so work lands well the first time.
  • Outcomes. Your area is adopted and your customers are satisfied - not just launched.

Requirements
Minimum qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in product management or a related technical role.
  • 2 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (0 to 1, ideation through execution).
  • Experience developing or launching infrastructure products or technologies - compute, databases, storage, networking, file systems, or other software infrastructure.
Preferred qualifications
  • Experience with cloud, platform-as-a-service, or developer-tools products.
  • Familiarity with Laravel, PHP, or modern web application development.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, design, marketing, and other stakeholders.
  • Comfort working closely with engineering to shape scope, in a fast-moving, async-first environment.
  • Background in software development or engineering.

Benefits
  • Fully remote, globally distributed team
  • Option to attend Laracon conferences around the world
  • Paid time off (vacation, sick leave, public holidays)
  • Family leave (maternity, paternity)
  • Company equity
  • Access to high quality training tools to ensure you are enabled to be the best you can be.
  • Welcome kit with custom Laravel swag
