Job description

Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity working with elementary-aged students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a vibrant Kansas school community. This full-time position offers the unique chance to provide vital therapy and evaluations across two campuses, fostering communication growth and academic success among young learners. As you help manage a caseload of around 65 students, you’ll have the flexibility to plan your own schedule, ensuring you can tailor your days for both efficiency and student engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current Kansas SLP license required (will consider clinical fellows; no SLPAs at this time)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC), or eligibility to obtain
  • Experience or strong interest in school-based SLP services
  • Expertise in assessing, diagnosing, and treating a range of communication disorders
  • Commitment to collaborative work with teachers, staff, and families
  • Excellent communication and organization skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech-language therapy for elementary-age students
  • Conduct thorough evaluations to determine students’ needs
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Document student progress and maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines
  • Collaborate with school teams to support students’ overall academic achievement
  • Split time between two schools; create your own efficient service plan
