Job description

At Netflix, our mission is to entertain the world. Together, we are writing the next episode - pushing the boundaries of storytelling, global fandom and making the unimaginable a reality. We are a dream team obsessed with the uncomfortable excitement of discovering what happens when you merge creativity, intuition and cutting-edge technology. Come be a part of what's next.
The Opportunity
As a Localization Title Producer, UCAN - Film & Animation, you will ensure that members experience the highest quality localized experience across our Film, Animation and Kids & Family slate, preserving creative intent and enhancing the localized experience for viewers everywhere. With Netflix's ongoing international expansion, support for new languages, and the introduction of new content formats, providing world-class scalable localization services is essential to our success, making this an exciting time to join the company.
The Role
The Localization Title Producer team willserve as the single point of accountability for the end-to-end localization strategy and execution across all assigned titles and tasks. This role is responsible for orchestrating the seamless delivery of dubbing, subtitling, main/episodic titles, accessibility, and marketing assets, ensuring that all localized content reflects Netflix's creative vision and meets regional standards for quality and authenticity. This role partners closely with internal and external stakeholders, including Content, Post, Marketing, external partners and more, to optimize workflows, resolve operational challenges, and drive continuous improvement. By championing operational excellence, this role plays a critical role in delivering a world-class member experience and supporting the successful global launch of Netflix content.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Localization Ownership
  • Fully own the operational and tactical localization lifecycle for assigned titles, serving as the single point of accountability from initial planning through global launch.
  • Overseeing all language assets-including dubbing, subtitling, SDH, audio description, marketing supplementals, metadata, main/episodic titles, and forced narratives-proactively managing cross-functional expectations, timelines, budgets, quality control, and ensuring the launch readiness of localized assets for both long form and trailers.
  • Collaborate on localization strategy for new content formats, partnering closely with Strategy & Innovation, Vendor Strategy and Language Production to test, refine and implement scalable models (including automation and assistive technologies) for assigned slate.
  • Design, refine and operate scaled content ingestion workflows for emerging formats, ensuring localization can support high volume and fast turnaround while maintaining appropriate quality thresholds.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Collaboration
  • Act as the main localization point of contact between Content, Post, Marketing, Launch Management, and other internal teams, ensuring alignment and seamless communication throughout the localization process.
  • Facilitate collaboration between Netflix, localization partners, and Language Producers to align timelines, deliverables, and quality standards. Oversee progress, resolve operational challenges, and ensure consistent, authentic localization that meets regional objectives.

Project & Workflow Management
  • Plan, schedule, and manage localization workflows for each assigned title, including setting the title-level language strategy and vendor selection, bid management, financial tracking, and asset delivery.
  • Oversee context gathering, complexity assessment, source material distribution, and project tracking while maintaining operational efficiency, ensuring our localization partners are set up to create localized assets that meet the Netflix creative standard.
  • Analyze localization metrics and project data to identify opportunities for workflow optimization and to proactively resolve operational challenges.

Quality, Risk, and Issue Management
  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks, as well as troubleshoot and escalate quality or operational issues as needed, to keep projects on track.
  • Analyze title level localization metrics and data to identify opportunities for workflow optimization and to proactively resolve operational challenges.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement
  • Champion the adoption of new practices, workflows, automation, and technology to streamline localization processes and support the integration of emerging media types (live, video podcasts, interactive experiences, etc.).
  • Identify and flag challenges within the current workflow to support ongoing operational improvement.
  • Foster a culture of partnership, transparency, and continuous improvement within the team and with external partners.

Requirements
  • This role will require regular project oversight outside of business hours to support day and date launch requirements. Applicants should be prepared to fully support this requirement as it arises.
  • Flexibility to support cross-vertical needs outside of Film, Animation, and Kids & Family as they arise, at the discretion of the Content Localization Manager/Director.
  • 5-7 or more years of experience in localization in a high-demand, fast-paced environment, ideally in the entertainment industry; experience managing large-scale, cross-functional projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience managing high-volume content pipelines, day and date workflows, and/or emerging content formats.
  • Strong systems-thinking and strategic problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced environment, supervising several projects at various points of production (from development through delivery).
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills; able to work effectively in collaboration with creative, operational, technical and product teams.
  • Make sound independent decisions, and know when to escalate issues
  • Highly analytical, data-driven, and solutions-oriented; able to identify root causes, optimize processes, and drive operational excellence.
  • Adaptable and resilient in the face of change and ambiguity; comfortable with evolving priorities, formats, experimentation and new challenges.
  • Passion for operational efficiency, localization or project management.
  • Fluency in English required; additional languages a plus.
