Talent Acquisition Specialist / Interpreter Onboarding
Universal Language Service is seeking a full-time Talent Acquisition/Onboarding Specialist to manage our high volume recruitment efforts for our language professional contractors and W2 interpreter openings. This is based in our Bellevue, WA offices onsite. Some travel may be required for hiring events and in-person meetings. The ideal candidate should have 1-3 years of recruitment experience in the language services industry or similar high volume recruitment / healthcare industry. Summary:
The TA Specialist will collaborate with the interpreter accounts recruitment team on routine basis and proactively identify current and future hiring needs. Responsibilities include identifying future hiring needs, designing job postings, sourcing candidates through databases and social media, conducting interviews, and assisting with interpreter documents onboarding.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Maintain a large volume recruitment pipeline of candidates. Source language professionals from various state certification databases.
• Understand the licenses and certifications needed for both contractors and employees.
• Sourcing, screening, and interviewing new Interpreters in the Pacific Northwest, across the U.S.
• Heavy outbound recruitment calling to secure interviews, onboarding meetings and screenings.
• Filter candidates for open requisitions and future hiring needs.
• Partner with language operations team to project hiring needs.
• Prepare monthly, weekly and quarterly reports of activated or newly onboarded interpreters.
• Build and maintain a steady pipeline of candidates.
• Prepare recruitment materials for community events and job fairs.
• Coordinate virtual hiring events for contractors and W2 hiring needs.
• A clear understanding of HR compliance regulations and employment/contractor guidelines and restrictions.
• Responsible for delivering talent for interpreting roles in common and obscure languages.
• Experience filtering and navigating through national certification registries.
• Develop customized advertisements for niche language markets on a global level.
• Make technology or tool recommendations based on recruiting needs or trends.
• Manage onboarding documents process for contractors and W2 employees.
• Assist with all inbound calls through the interpreter accounts phone line and manage the daily interpreter accounts email general mailbox. Ensure emails and voice messages are addressed in 24-48 hours.
• Manage the front lobby desk of main office to meet and greet interpreters or clients that visit our main offices.
• Provide resources for interpreters seeking certification through language testing through our interpreter academy.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
• Assisting incoming interpreters with scheduling their first interpreting job.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university a plus, or one to three years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Computer skills required: Contract Management Systems; Paycor Applicant Tracking Software, or other ATS Human Resource Systems; Microsoft Office Suite.
• Previous experience in Salesforce CRM
• Knowledge or prior use of LinkedIn Recruiter license preferred.
• Knowledge of social media platforms and social media management tools.
• At least 1- 3 years prior recruiting experience in a high-volume environment.
• Prior experience in hiring both employees and independent contractors.
• Prior work in the Language Translation Industry preferred.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Knowledge and skills abilities:
• Ability to post requisitions in a timely manner.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to form relationships across all levels of the company.
• Ability to understand client contracts with regards to hiring needs and qualifications.
• Strong awareness of world cultures and languages.
