Job Summary
The Lane Packer Operator directly reports to the Production Supervisor. This position will handle the packing of eggs coming off the machine lanes. The position will require standing, bending, stooping, lifting and math skills. This area is working around moving parts and will require the operator to have a strong mechanical aptitude.
Responsibilities
โ€ข Pack finished egg cartons into cases or arrange them on pallets according to established specifications.
โ€ข Inspect cartons for visible damage, broken eggs, packaging defects, and other quality concerns.
โ€ข Verify that date codes and other required markings are accurate, legible, and properly positioned.
โ€ข Close, stack, and secure cartons and cases to prevent product damage during handling and distribution.
โ€ข Monitor the packing process and promptly remove or report product that does not meet quality standards.
โ€ข Keep the assigned work area clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
โ€ข Monitor equipment during operation and promptly report jams, malfunctions, or unsafe conditions.
โ€ข Communicate production, quality, safety, and equipment concerns to the Production Lead or Supervisor.
โ€ข Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
โ€ข Follow all food-safety, cGMP, hygiene, personal protective equipment, and workplace-safety requirements.
โ€ข Ability to work safely and maintain quality standards in a fast-paced production environment.
