Landscape Enhancement Project Manager

Berns Landscape Services, located in Warren, MI, is actively seeking an adept and experienced Landscape Enhancement Project Manager to join our dynamic team. This opportunity offers the chance to lead high-quality installation projects, optimize job profitability, and grow within a stable, expanding company.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of enhancement and installation projects simultaneously, keeping every job on schedule and on budget

  • Monitor labor hours, material costs, and subcontractor spend against budget in real time to ensure job profitability

  • Build and maintain project schedules, coordinating crew assignments, material deliveries, and subcontractor timing

  • Direct and support field crews and foremen, setting daily expectations and maintaining high quality standards

  • Own the client relationship during execution, communicating updates proactively and resolving issues quickly

  • Source and procure plant material, supplies, and equipment while cultivating competitive vendor relationships

  • Identify scope creep early, document changes accurately, and execute change orders in a timely manner to protect margins

  • Keep accurate project records including daily logs, labor tickets, and closeout documentation

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience within a landscape, horticulture, or related outdoor services company

  • Demonstrated track record of reading job cost reports, managing labor efficiency, and maintaining project profitability

  • Hands-on knowledge of landscape installation, plant material, hardscape, irrigation, grading, and seasonal color

  • High proficiency in landscape project management software (such as Aspire, LMN, or equivalent) and mobile field apps

  • Ability to manage multiple projects at different stages simultaneously with exceptional attention to detail

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact professionally with clients, crews, and vendors

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean, insurable driving record

  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions with a regular hands-on presence on job sites
