Commercial Tradesman

K&D Landscaping, Inc.

Position Summary

The Commercial Tradesman is an entry-level role responsible for supporting landscape construction and installation projects in the field. This position plays a key role in executing high-quality work that meets K&D Landscaping’s standards for safety, efficiency, and craftsmanship. This is a hands-on position designed for individuals who are dependable, willing to learn, and ready to grow within the company. Tradesmen work closely with Foremen and Supervisors to complete daily tasks, develop technical skills, and contribute to a productive and positive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

Field Production & Installation

  • Perform landscape construction tasks including planting, irrigation installation, grading, trenching, and material placement
  • Assist with installation of hardscape and softscape elements as directed
  • Follow project plans, specifications, and direction from foreman and supervisor
  • Maintain consistent production pace while ensuring quality standards are met

Equipment & Tools

  • Safely operate basic tools and equipment (training provided)
  • Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting materials and equipment
  • Help maintain tools and equipment in good working condition

Team Support

  • Work closely with Foreman and crew members to complete daily tasks
  • Follow direction and communicate clearly with team members
  • Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment

Safety & Job Site Standards

  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures at all times
  • Wear required PPE and use equipment safely
  • Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free job sites
  • Participate in safety meetings and daily tailgates

Daily Operations

  • Apoyar en la instalación de elementos duros (hardscape) y blandos (softscape) según se indique
  • Seguir los planos del proyecto, especificaciones y dirección del capataz y supervisor
