We specialize in landscape design and installation, irrigation, lighting, drainage, and hardscapes — and we’re proud to be known for doing things the right way: with Quality, Teamwork, Leadership, and Performance at the heart of everything we do.

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a talented Landscape Design & Estimating Specialist to join our Install Division, someone who combines creative design skill with technical estimating expertise and a keen eye for detail.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll bring ideas to life — designing, pricing, and supporting beautiful, functional outdoor spaces.
You’ll collaborate with clients and our team to take projects from concept to completion.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Creating landscape and hardscape plans using CAD or other design software.
  • Preparing accurate estimates, take-offs, and proposals for commercial projects.
  • Reviewing and interpreting plans, specifications, and addenda for bidding and construction.
  • Coordinating with vendors and our in-house Nursery Manager to ensure accurate plant and material selections.
  • Visiting job sites to confirm measurements and evaluate conditions.
  • Supporting the Install Division with value-engineering, revisions, and presentation materials.
  • Communicating clearly and professionally with clients and teammates.

What We’re Looking For

  • Degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, or related field (preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience in landscape design, estimating, or construction project coordination.
  • Proficiency in a Design Software and Microsoft Office (Adobe Suite or Aspire experience a plus).
  • Strong understanding of plants, materials, and construction methods.
  • A self-starter with excellent organization, communication, and time management skills.
  • Someone who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is ready to grow with us.

Compensation & Benefits

We value great talent — and we believe in rewarding it.

Base Salary: $65,000 – $75,000 (based on experience and qualifications)
Benefits Include:

  • 100% employer-paid health, dental, vision, life & AD&D insurance
  • Paid time off and paid holidays (including Super Bowl Monday!)
  • A supportive environment that invests in your growth and development

Life at Freeman Landscape

At Freeman Landscape, we take pride in more than just our projects — we take pride in our people.
We believe great landscapes start with great teams. You’ll find an atmosphere that’s supportive, professional, and family-oriented, where everyone works together toward shared goals.

Here’s what you can expect from life on our team:

  • A positive, respectful work environment where your ideas are valued.
  • A company that invests in your professional development and leadership potential.
  • The satisfaction of seeing your designs come to life in real communities across the region.
  • A sense of purpose, pride, and teamwork in every project we complete.

And the best part? You’ll enjoy it all just minutes from North Carolina’s stunning beaches, waterways, and coastal charm — making Wilmington the perfect place to grow your career and your quality of life.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

✅ A respected company with a strong reputation for quality and integrity.
✅ A team culture that values collaboration, pride, and performance.
✅ Real career growth and leadership opportunities within the Install Division.
✅ Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
✅ The chance to design and estimate projects that leave a lasting impact on your community — and enjoy life by the coast while you do it.
