Landscape Designer

Kevin’s Landscapes | Bryan–College Station, Texas

Kevin’s Landscapes is looking for an experienced Landscape Designer to join our Design Department. This position is ideal for a creative, organized, and self-motivated designer who enjoys developing thoughtful residential landscapes, working directly with homeowners, and bringing design concepts from initial vision through final presentation.

The new Landscape Designer will take the lead on select residential landscape and outdoor living projects while collaborating closely with Consultants, Operations, and the Design Team. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-end projects, build strong client relationships, and contribute to the continued growth and development of our design services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and lead residential landscape and outdoor living projects from concept through final presentation.
  • Develop creative and functional landscape designs that reflect the client's vision, property, architecture, and budget.
  • Conduct site visits, client consultations, and design presentations.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout the design process.
  • Develop 2D landscape plans and professional design presentations.
  • Select appropriate plants, trees, hardscape materials, and outdoor living elements.
  • Review project scope and design intent to ensure designs are practical, cohesive, and buildable.
  • Collaborate with Consultants and Operations to ensure a smooth transition from design through construction.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining organization and attention to detail.
  • Support the Consulting Team with estimates and design proposals.
  • Maintain company design standards, templates, and workflows.
  • Stay current with landscape design trends, plants, materials, technology, and industry best practices.
  • Contribute ideas and recommendations to continually improve the company's design services and client experience.

What We're Looking For

  • Professional landscape design experience is ideal.
  • Knowledge of plants, materials, and growing conditions specific to the Bryan–College Station area is a plus.
  • Experience with residential landscape design and outdoor living projects is a plus.
  • Strong AutoCAD and/or landscape design software experience is a plus.
  • Experience creating 2D plans and professional design presentations is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
