Teufel is a leading landscape construction company dedicated to creating outdoor spaces that inspire and endure. We specialize in crafting beautiful and functional landscapes for commercial clients, utilizing innovative techniques and high-quality materials to bring our clients' visions to life.

Job Description:

We are growing and seeking a few skilled and experienced people to join our Landscape Construction team in key positions of Leadman and Foreman.

  • Direct and oversee 13 crews on assigned job sites.
  • Assign daily tasks, set priorities, and monitor progress.
  • Train and mentor crew members in proper techniques, equipment use, and safety practices.
  • Ensure crews maintain productivity and meet project goals.
  • Interpret plans, specifications, and layouts provided by the Superintendent.
  • Perform site layout and marking to guide installation.
  • Coordinate material deliveries and ensure proper staging on site.
  • Operate and oversee use of equipment (skid steer, excavator, compactor, etc.).
  • Ensure work is completed to design specifications and within budgeted hours.

Quality Control

  • Conduct daily inspections of work performed by crews.
  • Identify deficiencies and implement corrective actions immediately.
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship in planting, grading, irrigation, and hardscape installation.
  • Document progress and report issues to the Superintendent.

Safety

  • Enforce company safety policies and OSHA regulations on all job sites.
  • Conduct daily safety checks of equipment and vehicles.
  • Lead toolbox talks and safety meetings with crews.
  • Report and assist in investigating accidents or near-misses.

Communication & Coordination

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between crew members and the Superintendent.
  • Provide daily updates on progress, challenges, and resource needs.
  • Coordinate with other trades to ensure site readiness and minimize conflicts.
  • Respond promptly to Superintendent or client requests.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; trade school or construction coursework preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial landscape construction, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of landscape construction practices, irrigation systems, grading, and plant materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents and layouts.
  • Proficiency in basic construction math and measurements.
  • Valid Driver's license and ability to operate construction equipment
  • Need to pass pre employment drug screen and physical.
