Planted Earth Landscaping, Inc. is a unique Residential Landscape Contracting and Maintenance company who works with the regions most talented Landscape Architects installing and maintaining some of the premier landscapes in Maryland, Virginia, & Washington D.C. Planted Earth Landscaping has a vision of "Doing things better". This vision includes better customer service, better plant material, better landscape industry partners and most importantly better client relationships. We are currently seeking qualified candidates to fill a role as a Landscape Installation Project Manager. Applicants should be passionate about plants and the outdoors, are always seeking knowledge, and conducts them self in a professional manner. We are looking for candidates who are interested in joining a company with which they can grow.

Role: The Landscape Installation Project Manager responsible for establishing new client relationships, fostering existing client relationships, and maintaining high quality gardens in a safe, productive, and efficient manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Directly reports to the Operations Manager regarding all matters including but not limited to progress, issues, and logistical requirements
  • Manage/coordinate landscape construction job schedule and scheduling of personnel in conjunction with the Operations Manager
  • Manage multiple, ensuring their craftsmanship is performed at the highest level of quality, safety, and efficiency
  • Manage all education requirements for self and staff as required by each state
  • On-site point of contact for Owner, Subcontractors, and Vendors
  • Training and development of Supervisors on best practices and company standards
  • Other duties as required to include, but not limited to: Pruning, pest management and identification, horticultural knowledge, operation of small and heavy machinery. 

Requirements:

  • Minimum: 5+ Years' experience in high-end construction management, experience with managing subcontractors and project schedules, plan reading & implementation
  • Driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Highly motivated individual, self-driven, and detail oriented
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in the English and Spanish languages
  • Excellent time-management skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues/obstacles, and provide immediate/long-term solutions
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Punctual and dependable
  • Able to work effectively with individuals of differing knowledge and backgrounds
  • Proficient use of software including Outlook, Excel, Word & SharePoint

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in horticulture and/or 5+ years of field experience as a Project Management Professional 
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with mowing, pruning, botany, pest identification and management, tree/shrub/herbaceous plants and grass identification and knowledge
  • Truck and Trailer Operation 
  • Certified Professional Horticulturist certificate
  • Certified Landscape Technician certificate
  • Spanish language communication fluency
  • Working Knowledge of LMN Software
